Yes we used that word a lot. What about a 'Heathen' - a person who is against any form of religion or churchgoing.

I think Heathen's nowadays are pretty much Atheists in a non derogatory sense, they don't believe in God but most of them probably aren't against religion as such.

more of an expression....I was complaining to my daughter about the weight of her sons schoolbag and I said to her " The weight of that on his back 'will stunt his growth'. She couldn't understand me, never heard that expression in her life. We had a good laugh.

brian f, I never made any mention of younger folk regarding atheists or heathens in my post so you've lost me a bit there.

Another similar word I remember being used a lot is 'Toddle'

Brian f, this above is what I was giving an opinion about so I reckon you must have quoted me in error. No worries though as after all we're only human.
