Thank you, Lep, the photography, like the music, is beautiful. I'm sure Bobby would have loved it!

I would like to offer my condolences and heart felt sympathy to bobby's family. I never met bobby but we exchanged a few emails, I am deeply saddened to hear this news. Hughie Gourlay.

When I was a boy in Castle Avenue, in Stevenston in the 50's, I seem to remember a Grayston family in Greenhead Avenue, somewhere just facing into Hawthorn Drive.

Would this be Robert's family by any chance? We could have known each other as boys. Any-one know?

JD.

Hello Derek, I hope you continue to post from time to time, it'd be a nice wee link to your dad and let us get to know you too. I must say, you gave me quite a start shortly after your dad passed on and I saw 'bobbydarg' was online!
Give your mum a big hug from me and you have one too! Seeing you dad's avatar there made me smile through my sadness, but your dad seemed to have a gift for making people smile, maybe because he always seemed to be smiling.

Hi Derek,I got a bit of a shock too when I saw the name, but I am glad you have been on and looked through the posts and know how we all felt about your dad. God bless your family on Thursday and rest assured the ones who can't be there are thinking of you all. Milda.

Hi Derek,

I see you had joined but have not activated your account - the acceptance e-mail probably went to your trash can.
I've now activated the account from this end and will credit the above post to you shortly. In the meantime if you have any problems posting get in touch with me. hugh.mccallum@gmail.com

I met your dad for the first time last year and like many others was impressed by him.

My thought for Roberts family:

Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow,
May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.

When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure.

I'm off to bed now, but to all who can attend Robert's funeral and especially to his family, please know there are so many others paying respect,s in different time zones maybe, but none the less, our sadness at the loss of Robert will continue.
