BBC Radio - Listen while you surf

Post by Hughie »

You can now listen to any of ten BBC radio stations while you surf the web. Simply click on the word "Radio" above under the header image. Select which station you want to listen to, then click anywhere on the larger original screen and the radio will then play in the background while you surf wherever.

My favourite is the world service of the BBC, and when I'm in the UK it's Radio four. Have listened to Radio seven over the past few days too and was pleased to here episodes of Hancock's half hour and the Goon Show.

Hughie,

absolutely amazing. Thanks for this new feature, which I am sure is going to be one of the site's most used features in the future.

Nicely done Hughie, now I have another reason not to hear when Meg calls :-)
I'm still saving up for a signature.

Theres a programme on radio 2 every Saturday morning from 8 till 10, called sound of the sixties.
Brian Matthew is the dj.
It plays all the songs from the sixties, so most of our members should enjoy lots of music which brings back memories.
I remember listening to him when it was the light programme, and the very same Brian Matthew was the dj.
He's 81 years old now, and sounds just the same as he did in the sixries.
Idiot - seeks village.

Enjoyed it immensely, Chris. But never got to hear it all as we had visitors. Later on there was a variety of very witty English comedy on Radio 7 which started just after 10 am in the UK - that was 9 pm here in Oz. :)
