Re: Three Towns Aerial Coverage
FlyingAL, I also noticed you and your mate about lunchtime today when travelling back from Kilwinning, and a wee bit later in the afternoon above Saltcoats. The first thing that came in to my mind was, will we get an image of Ardeer Stadium for bobbydarg, and sure enough it's there tonight. Fantastic images, I've spent some time looking at them trying to work out streets or buildings.
This is for bobbydarg, what is a J.C.B. doing in the stadium. ?

Re: Three Towns Aerial Coverage
Again, another great photo, Al. Although born and raised in Ardrossan, the Ardeer stadium and surrounds brought back many a memory. Watched one or two games there when it was Ardeer Rec's home ground and competed in some athletic events there. This'll no be the first time I've told you I qualified as North Ayrshire's reserve long jumper at an event there. "Never got a guernsey" - that's an Aussie saying - everyone turned up on the day.
I see the Gym building at the Higher grade where our Eglinton gymnastic team used to train on a Friday evening under Dusty Miller - in the mid-fifties it was classed as the best gymnasium in the district. We put on displays in church halls and I remember once during half-time at a Winton Rovers V's Saltcoats Vic's match.
The Livingston Church too ... that's where I married my first wife ... happy days.
