The desert one is Joshua Tree National Park, out by Palm Springs. I believe the rocks pictured have a rude name because someone thought they resembled a bottom.

Thank you all for your kind words. I actually got up the guts (to the amazement of my kids)to donate one to a charity auction and was that chuffed when a lady told me she was going to get it no matter what..it was another Calla lily painting, apparently a favourite of hers.

These are fantastic. Well done, and I envy your talent.
How did you discover you had this ability? I have a friend who late in life took a notion to go to classes and the work he produced was superb. I now have one of his paintings in my livingroom. Were you always aware you could paint or was there a 'discovery' moment in adult life?
