For whom It might interest, the Metropole night club in Hamilton street (ex Regal cinema) re-opened last week. Dont know what It looks likes inside, but they could have improved the exterior which Is badly scraped.

I dont think there Is a fish and chip shop left now on the whole of Countess street after the boom of Italians in the 60s/70s My aunt Flora was very fond of Luigi and Clara of the Station cafe, they lived opposite to her in Eglinton Street, so when she came to Italy I took her to Barga to visit his grave.

Hello....the Robert McCallum and Son plasterers are my grandpa and great-grandpa. My dad was born and raised in 4 Melbourne Terrace. Small world.
