The siding looks to have begun around where the first telegraph post on the right is. The gasworks certainly has been decommissioned for some time according to this photo and I recall the railway siding being taken away before 1963 when I moved to Ardeer Foundry.

That's great photo, never seen one showing the layout of the buildings so close. Our drive in Rashley Square was paved with the bricks from what looks like one of the smaller buildings.
