I was wondering if there is any Vitriano's hiding among our 600 members, here's a sample of my art work.

Hi LP,
that's rather good,as they would say in under-stated English. I think it's super.Very well done.
I have trouble drawing a straight line with the help of a ruler, but I know what I like. Ria paints rather well, but not as well as this. She has imparted the rudiments of how to judge a painting; depth /perspective; colours / shades; balance between the various depictions in the piece. It all seems very much what Ria tries to capture. To cap it all, the action of the ducks taking off sets the whole thing going. I like it very much.
I'm not much for modern art,but the vibrant colours in the second piece are very eye-catching. The detail in the third one is tremendous. Wish I could do that.

Very nice, L.P.! I hope the modern art is not a self portrait , but then, it looks a wee bit more Egyptian than Scottish!
I haven't painted in a while, , must get back to it!

Lovely stuff LP. Wish I had a gift for such things. Maybe I should try getting back into water colours again. Have you seen my late classmate's work? Artist Willie McKinnie was a member of our forum until his death in 2006. He was originally from Castle Road in Ardrossan.

I'm sorry to hear that Willie died, Hughie, I remember him posting a few times and wondered why he stopped.
A very talented artist. R.I.P. Mr. McKinnie.

My big brother (Jimbo) is a fantastic artist, both in wood and paint. I'll ask him if I can post a couple of photos he sent me.

J.D. Thank you for the positive review, I note that when Ria speaks you listen, wise man.
Morag. There's a lot of sand down Stevenston shore, it's an abstract version of the knotted hanky for protection from the sun and sand storms.
Hughie, Never got to grips with water colours, I,ve one somewhere of the top end of the Busby dam, it's a poor example, but if I can find it , I'll post. I enjoyed viewing the paintings of your classmate's work, superb, "crash" that was my painting equipment hitting the bin.
Anne, Pretty faces would ask a girl to come up to their room to view their etchings, I put mine on the internet, enough said.
Milda, I told you, your other eye is working fine.
Chriso, I'm suprised at you copying some other work , but not a bad effort.
