Re: Pet's Corner
My grandaughter's birthday gift from her dad ( my son ) was to adopt a Koala bear from the Koala hospital in Australia. it's name is Jonas_Absalom_Blinky. She loves Koalas and you can imagine what a surprise that was on her birthday.
be nice to your children, they'll pick your care home

Re: Pet's Corner
Beautiful animal ebbe - lots of maintenance there.
Our dear old Blue Healer has passed on and we couldn't ever have such an active dog ever again.
Before I retired from the Australian Customs I elected to look after puppies in our now quiet famous sniffer puppy dog breeding program at Melbourne Airport. My job was to take them around noisy areas at the airport, docks and railway stations to get them used to the crowds. They'd then be farmed out to foster families and then if they were suitable sent on to Canberra to our finishing school. I loved that job, what a perfect way to wind down to retirement.
This is not my pet, but this beauty thirteen years after I retired became a good friend of mine over three days during the recent Australian National Celtic festival - its minder enjoyed the wine bar where I was a volunteer.

Ray Charles Spaniel
Here is a photo of my now deceased best friend. He was a version of an English Springer Spaniel, known as a “Ray Charles Spaniel” ( as in King Charles Spaniel) I forgot to mention his k.c. registered name was Nineveh Sydney, who was better known as Syd.
