Britain's Gift to Australia
As the subject heading says Britain's Gift to Australia
There now can you believe that?
No?
OK then ... go down the page a wee bit.
The sail training ship STS 'Young Endeavour' was a gift to the people of Australia as a Bicentennial gift from Britain back in 1988. See! I wasn't telling fibs To find how Australia uses this lovely vessel See here
BTW that calm water in the first photo at Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast is where John Bone (Wee Bony) taught his wife (the wee wuman) to swim. And just a few hundred yards along is Mooloolaba's lovely family surf beach.

Hi Hughie,
Love the pictures, so did the wee wummin. She's just told me we are going up there on Sunday for a picnic and a wee dook. The Spring weather is in now here and the temperature is now up to around thirty degrees. No doubt we will se you and the dame next year. I'll get Wee Geordie to organize a trip in the balloon.

Re: Britain's Gift to Australia
Four years on and the sail training ship STS 'Young Endeavour' makes another visit to Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. These photos taken the other day on my morning beach walk - seems everyone here starts the day with a beach walk - my Ardrossan pal Bobby McCubbin and I did.

We love this holiday destination, but apparently there is danger in paradise.
Came across this stranded Yellow bellied sea snake this morning on my beach walk while listening to Radio 4.
