Talking about the Aussies, Scotland take them on at Rugby this afternoon and are odds on to beat them.Don't get me wrong I hope Scotland win though I don't think the odds are generous as I watched an impressive Aussie team beat England recently.
What a joy to watch Scotland whup Australia this afternoon Brian - eh

It certainly was Meg.

I expected more from the Aussies than that.
Btw- Looks like Edinburgh escaped storm Bert. I was frightened to death this morning walking the dog

I like the look of the current Hearts Left back - James Penrice. Thought he played a blinder against Celtic last week and in Europe last night against Cercle Brugge. He joined on a free transfer from Livingstone earlier this year (what a steal) looks a lot younger than 25 and will not be surprised if he gets in the Scotland squad .. Though we have Robertson and Tierney in that position.

Scotland women's team miss out in a play off again. I think it's time for a change of management.

Yes I see England and Wales drawn in the same group today for Euro 2025
No Scotland no party!!
Talking about women's football, I don't understand how a team from Glasgow are presently top of the SWPL without the finances the Auld firm have.

Brian, I think Glasgow City are one of the most established womens team in Scotland, Rangers and Celtics womens teams have only been going for 15 years or so and Glasgow City must be nearer 30 years.
I don't know the financies of the 3 clubs but Glasgow City are the most successful.

Seems to me Celtic have a genius on board- Who sold Jota to the Arabs for £25 million and 18 months later buy him back for £8 million from Rennes

The genius methinks might be Jota himself, who, by signing for Celtic in the first place, transferring to Al-Ittihad, then to Rennes, and now back to Celtic, has, in a remarkably short period of time, presumably secured himself four very lucrative signing-on fees.

Yes bonzo and I think many Rangers fans will be glad to see him go.

That said Celtic must be about to sign a replacement imminently as Idah has not yet hit it off. I will contradict myself by claiming Celtic are not infallible as they paid £8 or £9 million for him from Norwich who must be laughing all the way to the bank......
