Misuse of Data

Post by stivis »

I posted on the You Tube section about Twitter and Face book and all
A simple question
Do you edit your cookie selection when you go on to a site ?

I have both a Twitter account and Facebook one and I think a couple of other type that are similar
The Twitter one I doubt I've logged in in 10 years, If someone post a link to some subject, I may look at it but won't log in, if it can't be viewed .It's dismissed
Facebook much the same, I have 1 follower and no profile, And the load of crap I've got for that especially from a numpty who thought Sun Tzu was a Murdock Newspaper,
Of the major two ,Facebook is the more dangerous Remember Cambridge Analytica https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambridge ... ed_Kingdom see uk section
it evolved to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emerdata_Limited and a later version
It still exists
Thinking back 25 years a pal , used a program called Net Harvester and thought I'd be impressed to firing 6 million emails latterly it was 10 million

It that paranoia ?
It took two minutes to find NAC's web policy on data

https://www.civicaepay.co.uk/NorthAyrsh ... yStatement

You can view it WITHOUT accepting cookies, that is your legal right

Me I wouldn't accept

As for CivicaPay . . . Look at their web site

As for cookies, google your operating system and browser(s) there are plenty of link SHOULD you decide to opt out

stivis- No need to worry about the Americans. You should be more concerned about the Chinese ..who are miles in front - AI

Yes the Chinese and the Russians are more advanced, in technical but the Americans utilise money extracting,
Apple Mac used to be virtually unhackable in part macs weren't targets , and owned didn't have the anti MS type of thoughts, at some point about 8 or 10 years ago. Apple started MS type systems, I think it was the installation of Intel processors ( I stand to be corrected on that )

From somewhere
"Macs can get viruses. Sadly, your MacBook, iMac, or Mac Mini can all get infected with malware. Macs are less vulnerable than Windows computers, but viruses and hackers can successfully attack them too"

as an add-on the Mac Mini was reasonably priced now it's through the roof Was about £490 without the eye scan now circa £900
