Ardrossan Football Team?

Had this photo sent to me way back in 2005 by Frank Gallagher. All it said in the note "Ardrossan Football Team ???". Just a thought: Frank's BIL, Jim Aitken was involved with St Marys Boy's Club Saltcoats in the mid-fifties. See here.

Perhaps someone will recognise some of the players, or even the cup they have won. A guess on my part that the chap with the number 6 on his shorts might be Aemonn Lennon who I recall lived at the bottom of Busby Drive, Ardrossan, but I believe moved to Ireland.

Well seems there was a connection to Jim Aitken as mentioned above. I have to admit not recognising him though I knew him well while growing up.
Aemonn Lennon is not in the photo I'm told.

This one shows Jim in the middle at the back - I'd have recognised him there. So it's not an Ardrossan team.
