Any help with finding family?

Hi all

I am hoping for some help in finding any of my family if anyone can help

My mother is Carol Ingram (Girling was her maiden name) my Father Linden (William) Ingram, I figure I must have cousins or uncles or something out there but with no place to start it is tough going

Any help would be great

If you haven't already done so you should have a look at the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald database to see if any family intimations of birth, death, and marriage mean anything to you. There are definitely three "Girling" births listed. One is that of CAROL Edwina in 1956 - your mother?? There is also a marriage in 1931 between a James Laurie INGRAM and a Janet LINDEN Murray.

In addition, there is one 'GIRLING' family listed in the BT online telephone directory as resident in Saltcoats.

My Mother was Isobel ingram and had a brother Linden.
There mother and father was Janet & James and siblings where James, Murray, Hugh, Betty & Nancy (twins)
