We have family in the South, Co. Longford. I've been to the wakes of two uncles that lasted three days.
That was at least 50 years ago. Doubt if they do such things these days.

Glenshena, like you we have ten people allowed at services. One of the funeral places has come up with the idea to tie a white balloon on each chair with a photo and message from the person who would normally attend the service thus creating a space for the family to celebrate the deceased person's life.

Yes i know reading the forum Milda was very popular. I did not get to meet her like a lot of you did, but i did share a connection with her which was birthday date.
