Lookslike the outside refurbishment is nearly complete.

Re: Auchenharvie Academy
Me & the missus have driven by it a few times & we both think it’s very cheap looking. And the big sign on top just doesn’t look right. And did you know they didn’t do the works all the way round? They have only done the front & sides & didn’t bother with the back of it! As it sits three cornered you can see the incompleted works when travelling back from saltcoats.
Must have cost a fortune to knock down St Andrews academy & rebuild that (now St Matthews), yet Auchenharvie gets a cheap makeover.

I know I'll end up kicking myself when you tell me BWalsh, but where exactly did you take this pic from?
I reckon It's probably the zoom lens that's altering the perspective - a common occurrence with most telephoto shot's - and that's maybe why I'm scratching my head a wee bit.
I do see the caravan's at Sandyland's and also the parked car by the way, so you're obviously not far from Stevenston shore.

michaelm,
Yes, Stevenston shore, walking back from the old slip ( posh name Stevenston Point) about half way to the car park.
Also, the huge name above the academy didn't really bother me.

I figured that out. Nice one, Bernard.
