Thanks for the kind words. I'd seen a few similar looking pics of the High Kirk before so thought I'd try and get a wee snap of my own through the tree branches.

5siamese7 and bobnetau mentioned these in another topic and here's the very thing at Stevenston shore.

Ripples have magical properties. A wonderful photo that has so much movement and light in it that the magic shines through.

Never knew that, you learn something new every day.
Movement and light are just what drew me in Bill. Underwater sand ripples coupled with shards of sunlight from above usually make for a decent photo.

The regular cycling guys on the forum wont find it too hard recognising this particular view at South Beach Ardrossan.
Re: Miscellaneous Pic's
Aye, it was fairly quiet at the time bonzo, pretty sure it was a weekday afternoon in late November 2016.
Here's a couple of odd looking pics from when the promenade and sea wall between Stevenston and Saltcoats was getting upgraded a couple of years ago. I did manage to get an explanation from an official looking chap at the site though. Apparently the railings were sunk in a bit deeper to allow for any fluctuation in sand levels over the years. I think this hole disappeared after the tide had come in and out a few times.
And here was me thinking it must have had something to do with a Yellow Submarine.
