A very good video originally shown by Mitchy elsewhere on our forum some years ago. Enjoy!

This was filmed by Mr Douglas Orr & was posted by Gillian Thomson, who lived at 23 Limekiln Road, Stevenston
Music has been muted because of copyright concerns. Can you spot anyone?

Is Mr Orr the man who was badly injured in an ICI accident? If so there has been an article about him very recently in the herald.

Aye, that's Douglas, bonzo. I think he's still a keen amateur Photograper/Videographer to this day as I've spotted him on occasion at the odd local Memorial event etc.

Three Towns Charrette
Over four days in June 2017 people from across Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston came together to help make a plan for making positive changes across the area as part of the Three Towns Charrette. This video documents some of the Charrette process and people's thoughts on the Three Towns.

Even though I probably might not get back home I think this a really good and positive step to start to bring the three towns back to a more community minded and caring attitude. There are so many places that need a boost to bring about employment and a feeling of this is the best place to live. I'm sure it'll take time but if the people in the towns are optimistic then "what better place to live than the three towns" will be the logo for years to come.

I see Iain was there contributing to the event.

I hope this venture is a success but was I the only one who had to look up the meaning of Charrette?

Anything that is trying to improve the three towns gets my vote. Has there been any information released about what their plans actually are? I had a look on the Facebook page mentioned at the end of the video but there's nothing mentioned.

Are you maybe mixing up Iain that posts on here with Ian 'the nations favourite litter picker'?
