Some used the breadboards for sliding down the hill at mill dam ,,best days

Not coming from among the Stevenston Ratepayers (do they still exist?) we just had to make do with an old cardboard box cut across the short axis and opened out, and pulled up at the front end like a sleigh.
Last time I looked a few years back, the slopes were overgrown with quite big trees so it would have to be a slalom now.
