PC support and help

Post by Marcus Hazel-McGown »

I offer a lot of support to Small business and everyone else as well, I don't do this as a job, instead, I do it for a different reason. If anyone reads the Ardrossan and Saltcoats herald, you will have seen how annoyed that the xmas lights for Saltcoats did not go up. This is not the councils fault but an other group. So a load of us banded together to try and fund new xmas lights, plus arrange other new things for saltcoats. Ideas include a farmers market, Beach BBQ, fun days for the family etc,

So there is the reason why I am offering this. If anyone needs any PC support from Virus removal, to hardware upgrades , and anything else in between let me know. I will do it for a donation to the cause. (Unless I have to buy something to fix your PC, but thats different)

Marcus

Just so people do not wonder, The group I am supporting in this has just been set up, its first meeting was held on thurs 22nd of Jan @ sainsburies (Saltcoats) with between 30 and 40 members of local community and business plus representation from the council. After the initial meeting, a committee is going to be formed and the name then decided, as soon as that happens I will update my post.

The main things this group is trying to promote are: Xmas Lights in saltcoats, more events like farmers markets, family fun days, burns night dinners, halloween parties to bring the community closer together. If anyone has an interest in getting involved please PM me and I will put you in touch with the group organizer

Marcus.

My previous post seems to have been deleted .. So I'll ask again, how 'qualified' are you to 'fix' other folks pc's? :)

Michael, just checked the logs, and it appears you deleted your own post asking for more info from Marcus. Neither Hughie or I would ever delete a post. If there was a problem, we would move the post then PM the author.

Meg. I only recall editing what I had written and then seeing a screen saying I couldn't make any further comments.
I presumed it was yourself who deleted my post.

However, I'd like to think that Marcus would answer my question.

Neither Hughie nor I would ever delete a post Michael. Until we had investigated any problems a post would just be moved to the moderators area. Computer gremlins at work :D

Does anyone have a solution to a built in mouse pad (Chromebook) that seems to have developed an inert area? I've tried commercial cleaners, no help. :(

There are reports of touchpad problems after a recent OS upgrade to chromebooks. The following advice, found on the web, may resolve the problem.

Go to Settings > Touchpad Settings panel when affected by the issue
Remove the check next to “Enable tap-to-click”
Click to replace the check next to “Enable tap-to-click”
Click OK
I'm still saving up for a signature.
