Hope to get to see the Green Book on Sunday all being well - although it might be a challenge getting into town as there's a big Iron-man event taking place. Anyway, got a couple of donated tickets from number two son as they can't make it. :)

Wife and I went to the 10.30 am session today (Monday) the Green book. Didn't get interested in it till after they moved away from the Bronx and moved down south. But did find it very enjoyable.

Sammy Davis and Nat King Cole had to put up with that rubbish down there too. :(

I watched a film on TV called "On the Basis of Sex"

The true story of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, her struggles for equal rights, and the early cases of a historic career that lead to her nomination and confirmation as U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice.

In spite of the American constitution stating that every American had equal rights, a large number of laws discriminated against women.
I found it Interesting how the story unfolded and how her determined struggle against a male dominated system led to hundreds of laws in USA being changed.

Well worth a watch I hope I've not given too much away.

Enjoyed "The Post" at our movie club in our local Neighbourhood House. It's about how the politicians lied to the American people on how the Vietnam war was going. The Washington Post got the truth and published it. Great actors - Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep

Watched Stan and Ollie last night (you can tell I’m not doing much can’t you  ) about Oliver and Hardy’s twilight years when they tried to revive their film careers by carrying out a gruelling tour of the UK. I’m not a big fan of Steve Coogan, but loved him in this. Would recommend.

Watched Casino last night haven't seen it for years. You can't go wrong with a good gangster film especially with de Niro and Pesci in it.

Matthew Heineman's "A Private War". It's based on the true story of the journalist Marie Colvin.
