I always prefer to read the book first rabr, then like to compare my imagined characters to the film's cast

I watched "A Woman in Gold " on DVD last night. A true story and well worth viewing. Poppy

I went to see Star Wars on Sunday. Dana, my daughter in law bought the tickets on line and second row from the front were the only ones available. Huge Screen...Huge sound..It was hard to take it all in.

Not to worry, Our seats were like Lazy Boy comforters. One push of a button and I was spread out with feet up!
Ten minutes into the film I was fast asleep..missed the whole thing except for the first ten minutes despite my grandson,Ryan nudging me throughout.

Still haven't a clue what it was all about and the grandkids haven't a clue how I could have slept through all that racket. LOL

Went to see the new Star Wars on Christmas Eve - and I loved it. Will watch again when it comes out on Sky Box Office.

Not so much a nerd, Morag. More an old fogey. I was really looking forward to the movie but the comfy reclining seat did me in. No one was more surprised than I was that I fell asleep. Still can't believe I missed it especially since the sound was so loud! Ryan, my grandson, said I was talking in my sleep! LOL I plan to go again when I'm not so tired next time.

Yes Catherine, got fancy theatres like that here! It does help because in the usual ones I'm in pain ..legs oot legs in, switch hips...last one I went to they had booths, comfy seating and they served wine!

Last night at our local neighbourhood house film society we had a double feature. The first movie which was actually a documentary impressed me.

The film was "Searching for Sugarman" Now this Sugarman was an American who went to South Africa and was even more popular there than Elvis - that's what's stated in the documentary. He went missing and the story was about hunting for him. He in many ways is like Bob Dylan, wrote similar lyrics but has a great voice.
