HOLIDAY RESORT – SALTCOATS

There was a good deal of sunshine on Friday, and the beach was thronged with holiday-makers who appeared to be enjoying themselves thoroughly. It is expected that the Burgh Band will resume their concerts in Melbourne Park in a few days, and that a troupe of minstrels will take up a stance on the West Beach. Tea gardens are also to be opened, and an orchestra will give performances every afternoon.

HOLIDAY RESORT – SALTCOATS

We have had unsettled weather for a few days. Saturday was wet, and must have been disagreeable to the numerous visitors to the town. Sunday was showery, with a fresh breeze blowing, and during the night the wind increased and some rain fell. There were more showers on Monday, with cooler atmosphere. A considerable number of visitors have arrived, and houses are still being enquired about for July. The band performance and swimming gala on Saturday suffered in attendances of the public owing to the weather.
