BT Infinity

Post by Witterquick »

Hi folks,

Just in case anyone's interested, BT Infinity, which was due to be configured on the Ardrossan Exchange (serves all of the three towns, I believe) in September has been pushed back to 31st December. Should mean much better net speeds (peaking at an unstable 2mbps dl/ 0.5mbps ul in bottom end of Stevenston atm), but Openreach have a reputation of pushing these dates back.

For info - predicted net speeds should jump up to at least 60mbps and upload at 20mbps!

Allo again,

Looks like the Ardrossan exchange has now been fibre-enabled.

For anyone who lives around Moorpark Road west and the surrounding area that's currently served by Cabinet P5, you might notice you still don't have fiber available to you yet.

I've been chasing up Openreach for the last year about this, a couple of months ago I found out that it was because a wayleave hasn't yet been signed by NAC, so the ball appears to be in their court. I spoke to someone a couple of weeks ago from NAC who said they were looking to sign this wayleave, so hopefully this will start the ball rolling soon. :(
