Halogen Convection Ovens

Heard some good stories about Halogen Convection Ovens. Appears they can grill, bake, steam and barbecue, and in half of the time - self cleaning too? They don't appear too dear and there should be the saving on the ever rising cost of electricity if it cooks in half the time. Might sound her out to see if she'd like one for Christmas.
Any members use them?

Hughie, my new stove has convection if you want, I cooked a tri tip roast from frozen in 1.1/2 hours tonight. I've still to rtfm so it's always a new experience when I cook. But here's advice from my mum:
DON'T BUY A WOMAN A PRACTICAL GIFT for her birthday/anniversary/ Christmas...
if you're interested in the thing buy it, just don't make it a 'present'!

BTW Netta, thanks for hosting our wee get-the-gither on Saturday when George and Sally O'Connor where over from Tasmania. In all there were eight of us from the three towns.

Hi John, below is the two vessels that go from Melbourne's Station Pier to Tasmania. One through the day and the other through the night. Last time we went it took twelve hours - flying takes under an hour.
