I have just finished eading 'Citizen One' by Andy Oakes. What a read. Chief Inspector Sun Piao is like a chinese Rebus. Heavy going but worth it when you get to the end. Full of sirprises.

Hi
Have managed to get 6 in the series of M C Beatons books based around Agatha Raisin. A would be middle aged blunderer who gets mixed up in village murders in the Cotswolds. M C Beaton also wrote Hamish McBeth.
Nothing heavy and gives you a giggle.

See there's a new book out on the Knights Templars.

Just watched Murder on the Orient express with David Suchet and a follow up, still on, with Suchet re-creating the trip. I'd seen this film before with Ingrid Bergman and Peter Ustinov? and I've read the the book but, honest, I couldn't remember who dunnit nor to whom...I guess that's a plus of getting older!

Reading Alex Gray's 'Five ways to kill a man' at the moment. She writes in the Ian Rankin style and does for Glasgow what he does for Edinburgh. Both very fine crime writers.

Bobnetau,
Do you mean the Knights Templar book,it's The Knights Templar and Scotland by Robert Ferguson .I ordered through Amazon .Due anytime now. It's about whether they were at the Battle of Bannockburn.Appears that although Scotland was in a bad state ,money wise ,this army was well equiped ,and believed was trained by the Knights Templars. The Daily Mail newspaper had a write up about it last week, and it seemed good.

Took the Millenium Trilogy with me on holiday - The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo, The Girl who played with Fire and The Girl who kicked the hornets' nest all set in present day Sweden. Rattling good reads. So sad the author (Stieg Larsson) died at the young age of 50, he was so talented - would recommend the books to anyone who has an hour or two to pass.

Got the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo sitting waiting to be read. Daughter bought it and recommends it.
Just have to get through the five library books first.

Finished all three 2 months ago, I loved them , could not get through them fast enough. Now every thing I read seems so tame...
