The Stanley Cup

Post by gnyaff »

Joyce,

We don't know what Ice Hockey is up here, no snow within a thousand miles of the place. The last time I saw that white stuff was out an aeroplane window in February 1994 over the South Island of New Zealand on the way to Christchurch. I also never want to see it again. Its the middle of our Winter here at the moment and I was out fishing today with the shorts on, the temperature was around 23 degrees C. It can get down to around 8 or 9 at nights though. We get lots of creatures from the Southern States migrate up here for the Winter, I believe the McCallums from Victora will be up in August, must get the binoculars out and see if wee can spot them.

Anyway back to sport, the world cup is on next week and my tip for England is the usual, knocked out in the quarter finals. My dark horse is the Spanish. Always good on paper but never seem to get up there, I think this time they could do something.

Wee Boney

Hi wee boney, have you heard Scotlands world cup song :!: :!: :!:

We never give up .....do we
I wish we could say we got 23 degrees in the winter, more like minus 23 for us.
Today we had about 25c ....not bad for the beginning of June.
Joyce. :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Oilers, hope they can keep their winning streak with the new goalie. I feel sorry for him he's under a lot of pressure. GO OILERS GO!
