Sausage Balls......finger likkin good.
1 lb Ground Pork Sausage
2 c. Baking Mix (Jiffy, Bisquick, etc.)
1 lb Sharp Cheddar Cheese, grated or shredded
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix together well.
2. Shape into walnut sized balls.
3. Place on shallow baking dish approximately 2 inches apart. (Be sure that if using a cookie sheet that you use one with raised sides due to grease from sausage.)
4. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden. Serve hot.
Sausage Balls may be frozen, uncooked for up to three months in a tightly sealed container. If baking from a frozen state, increase baking time by 2 to 3 minutes.
These are great appetizers for a holiday party or just for snacking on while watching a game. I have even served these with brunch. You can dip them in maple syrup or just about any sauce that goes well with sausage.
Make a lot they go fast.
