As its the 5th of November, many of us must have some great stories to tell about bonfire night. Penny bangers, guaring the bonfire so nobody came along and lit it a couple of nights early. I can remember the bonfires on the Braes in front of the old mens club, then there was always one on Millar Road etc. etc.
Wee Boney
P.S. Guy Fawkes was probably the only bloke who went into the houses of parliament who knew what he was doing?
Guy Fawkes Night.
We used to have the fire on the triangle in Fleming cres years ago,but if we started to build it early there was always one neighbour who came out and knocked it down.So we moved it to the grass up Carrick ave.We had fun and didnt bother anyone but most of all we made sure it was safe and the fire was out before we all went home.
