My dad (who was in the Home Guard having a reserved occupation and it was the HG who installed these traps) first pointed out where the tank traps were and said what they were for. They were also located at the bottom of Dalry Road at the bus stop. Were there any more apart from there and Glasgow St?

About two weeks ago, Meg, I ‘found’ some tank traps in Hill Street at its junction with Princes Street.

Wow - never noticed them before. The ones in Glasgow Street still had the matching pairs across the street outside the old garage that was there and the ones at the bottom of Dalry road were on both sides of the street. I can understand the Glasgow street/Dalry road - make sense as they block access towards the harbour but what was on hill street (apart from Alfie’s  ) drill hall?
