Hugh Conway

Post by Penny Tray »

I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Hugh Conway, (74), who was brought up in Rowanside Terrace, Ardrossan (No. 44, if my memory serves me right). Hugh went to St. Peter's School.

I can't see him in the attached street Coronation Party photo (1953) but he was a contemporary of those who are.

RIP.

Hugh Conway was a thoroughly decent man. He was a good worker, quiet, unassuming and willing to help others. The last time I spoke to him was a few months ago at Winton Park watching Winton Rovers. Rest in peace, Hugh.
