Lots of “in memoriams” in local paper in those days. Not so many nowadays. Cost of these now are expensive and paper circulations are a lot smaller. Priced themselves out of business. I’m sure people still remember loved ones that have died, they just show it in a different way.

JAMESON - At Mississavga General Hospital, Ontario, Canada, on June 11 1971, to Jim and Jeanette ( nee Henderson ), a son; both well, a brother for Jim.

KEAN - At Ayrshire Central Hospital, on June 24 1971, to John and Margaret ( Ward ), 23 Busbie Drive, Ardrossan, a daughter. Thanking hospital staff in attendance.

KEANE - At Ayrshire Central Hospital, on June 17 1971, to John and Gwen ( nee Brooking ), 23 Buchan Road, Troon, a son, ( Aidan Joseph ); both well.
