Brian,

I've previously posted the following item which shows, if nothing else, that one of the victims, Mrs HELEN PUTTOCK, had a link with Saltcoats.

GLASGOW HERALD
4 NOVEMBER 1969

BIBLE-QUOTING MAN SOUGHT BY MURDER HUNT POLICE

.....A handbag belonging to Mrs PUTTOCK has been found on the beach at Saltcoats. She had lost it some time before her death, however, and it does not feature in the murder inquiry.

[Mrs Helen Puttock was a 'Bible John' victim, her body having been found on Friday 31st of October 1969 in a back-court at 95 Earl Street, Scotstoun, a few hundred yards from her home at 129 Earl Street.]
Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

Thanks, Penny Tray

When i entered "Barrowlands" into the search bar facility i was pleasantly surprised to read that a few members on the forum enjoyed a night out dancing at the intimate venue.

I’ve just watched the first one, second episode tonight. Seeing parts of Glasgow in the late 60s was a bit of an eye opener - used to visit a distant relative out near Parkhead back then, and she lived in a tenement but the back court was tidy and well kept and the close was spotless.
