Fire unfortunately. This building always remind me of a castle from a fairy tale.

A photo of the old Seafield School from around 2003, we used to play football against the boys back in the day.

It may be that you are thinking of Abbotsford house which was converted into a care home and is just a few yards nearer the greasy pole.

If I remember right, it was always a care home in the sense that it was a City of Glasgow Corporation establishment for disadvantaged children and latterly an extension of Quarrier's Homes.
Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.
