As a starting point, I am seeking Census data on the PATTISON family of West Kilbride. Parents were James and Lilias (Howie) PATTISON who married 19 Dec 1818, West Kilbride. Lilias died 14 Jan 1887 at Main St, West Kilbride.
It would appear James and Lilias had four children; Agness (b. c 1821), John (b. c 1826), Jean (b. c 1831) and Robert (b. Oct 1834). However, I believe there was AT LEAST one other child; a daughter Lilias (b. c 1824, West Kilbride) who, on 13 Dec 1844 at West Kilbride, married Archibald WORKMAN (b. c 1822, West Kilbride). I believe it was their daughter Lilias who married my great-uncle James.
I have located data in the A&S Herald intimations database and also other members of the same PATTISON family here in Australia; one in Brisbane and a second in Mandurah - brother and sister!
