Warning: This is a dieter's nightmare
1/2 pound of butter
8 ounces plain flour
2 ounces self-raising flour
3 ounces cornflour
3-4 ounces sugar
Pre-heat oven to 160°C (325°F). Melt the butter in a pan. Add all other ingredients and beat until it has the consistency of putty. Line a 11 x 7 inch pan with grease-proof paper and fill in the mixture. Smooth the top and prick with a fork. Bake for about 45 minutes one rung higher than the middle. Sprinkle with sugar when still hot.
