For St. Patrick's day. As published in today's Melbourne Herald-Sun. Might have a go at these when the weather turns cooler and perhaps use the little used pie-maker sitting in the cupboard.

Hughie is that a whole can of beer that goes into that recipe? what can I use instead? I dont want to get (pie eyed nae pun intended) ha ha ha while I'm eating my pie. It sounds delicious

I made beef stew using Guinness and it turned out very good.

Hi Jo,
The Guinness wont effect you, but it'll give the pies a nice flavour. Most of the local clubs and hotels here in Oz have Guinness pie on the menu in the winter. The handy man will come around more regularly if you make them - might even move in.
