Sale of No.1 Public School and Ground.

Within the Town Hall, Ardrossan, on Monday last, there was exposed for sale the school and ground in Glasgow Street, recently vacated by Miss Gairdner's pupils on their transfer to Winton School. The ground extends to 36 poles, and has a frontage of 62 feet to Glasgow Street and the same to Montgomerie Lane, with a depth of 157 feet. The upset price was £356. The property is a desirable one, and there was keen competition. It was ultimately knocked down to the E.U. Church representatives for £510. Mr Jas. Cook, solicitor, acted as agent in the sale, and the auctioneer was Mr Frank A. P. Bennett.
