Another interesting snippet.
It is often felt, in a sweeping generalisation, that the Celtic and Rangers fans are not overly bothered with Scotland, preferring to concentrate on supporting the two behemoths of Scottish football.

The Tartan Army, it is believed, is made up of fans from lower league clubs, while Aberdeen is thought of as a stronghold for the supporters of the national team.

Yet, data revealed by the digital manager of the SFA shows that Rangers have the biggest percentage of fans among Scotland Supporter Club members.

They are followed by four of the other 'big five' - if you will. Aberdeen, Celtic, Hearts and Hibs, in that order.

Michael Bochel tweeted: "Probably a good opportunity to dispel some myths about the Scotland support. Based on the last time I looked (Dec 2018) the teams supported by Supporter Club members in order of % were:

Rangers

Aberdeen

Celtic

Hearts

Hibs

Kilmarnock

Administration and liquidation of The Rangers Football Club plc
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Rangers, a football club in Scotland, entered financial difficulties during the late 2000s. The club, trading as The Rangers Football Club plc, entered administration in February 2012. It owed substantial amounts to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), who subsequently refused to allow Rangers to exit administration via a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA). The Rangers Football Club plc entered liquidation on 31 October 2012.

The refusal of the CVA forced the administrators to sell the business and assets of Rangers to a new company, operated by Charles Green. The other member clubs of the Scottish Premier League refused to allow the new company to adopt the league membership of the old company. Green then successfully applied for membership of the Scottish Football League. After obtaining the old company's Scottish Football Association (SFA) membership, Rangers (now trading as The Rangers Football Club Ltd) entered the Third Division (the fourth tier of the Scottish football league system) in time for the 2012–13 season.
If this had not happened they would have had a lot more honours by now as they lost 7 years out of the premiership.

FC Copenhagen 1 1 Celtic
Only seen the last 20 mins. Celtic will be confident of victory at Celtic Park.

Rangers 3 2 Braga
Never seen Braga before totally destroyed Rangers in the first half could easily be winning by at least 4 goals. Mr Gerrard made a couple of substitutions and Rangers managed to come back from 0-2 to win 3-2. What a remarkable turnaround. Personally not confident of going through to next round Braga will be too strong at home.

Celtic are priced at 50/1 Rangers 80/1 to win the Europa League.

Great result for Rangers this evening, does the coefficient no harm either. Here's hoping Celtic do the business tomorrow night as well.

Braga 0 1 Rangers 1. So Rangers go through 4-2 on aggregate. A brilliant performance i called it wrong as usual  When is the draw for the next round and if Celtic beat Copenhagen on Thursday could the old firm face each other in the next round and would this be the first tie they have played each other in a Euro competition.

bonzo- Have just read this on the BBC sport page. A twitter comment - complicated.

Only way Scotland can now miss out on 2 UCL places is if ALL:

Celtic are knocked out by Copenhagen
AND
Olympiakos beat Arsenal and go much further in the UEL.
AND
FC Basel (likely) reach the Europa League final OR APOEL overturn the 3-0 defeat and go further in the UEL.

If, and when, Scotland qualify again for two Champions League places, please remember that this might only mean that we will have two teams entering at the same or different stages of the preliminary rounds, and that we might therefore still not have any teams assured of a group stage place!

And, because this all hinges on the UEFA coefficient club rating, any sensible Rangers supporter should be cheering on Celtic tomorrow night, especially the way the Premier League is sitting at the moment in Celtic's favour.

Apologies to non-football fans (and some football fans) who might be wondering what we're talking about  .
Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.
