We're down to the last 8 ties in the Carabao Cup this forthcoming week: -

Burton Albion v. Leicester
Crawley Town v. Colchester United
Everton v. Watford
Manchester City v. Southampton
Oxford United v. Sunderland
Aston Villa v. Wolves
Chelsea v. Manchester United
Liverpool V Arsenal

Could you guess what game she has? The only clue you're getting - it isn't Chelsea v. Manchester United.
Liverpool V Arsenal. And that would have been 2 choice if no clue...
Liverpool V Arsenal.
Must have been some game that, even though both teams sent out the second strings.

Liverpool 5 5 Arsenal
Liverpool wins 5 -4 on penalties. :P

Chelsea- With Billy Gilmour starting before replaced on the 70 minute-lose 1-2 to a full-strength Man u thanks to a Marcus Rashford double.

I see Sian has the far line on the 'live' television match again today - Bournemouth V. Manchester United. I'm never going to mention her again. Till the next time  .

Manchester City have fended off competition from rivals Liverpool to complete the signing of Kilmarnock youngster Liam Smith.

The 17-year-old winger was being tracked by both clubs, as well as Scottish giants Rangers, but has agreed a switch to the Etihad.

Smith signed a four-year deal on Friday, although he won't be on professional terms until June.

In the meantime Smith - who hails from Stevenson in Ayrshire - will be on a scholarship at City's academy where he will start next week.

The Mail report that City have forked out £200,000 in compensation to Kilmarnock, who were resigned to losing the promising star.

Congrats to Liverpool this year's champs :D I think they will have to strengthen to the squad this year maybe a new forward to put pressure on Firmino to retain the title next year. Both teams from Manchester will prove a right challenge. United surprise me with recent form Greenwood is going to be some player and with Martial, Rashford and Fernandes and probably signing Jadon Sancho i can see goals flying in from all directions- if the defence can get a touch better what a team they will be...And then we have Peps City who will be aching to return to no-1 spot .

Penny Tray wrote: Tue Aug 13, 2019 2:07 pm I'm not troubled by this but has anyone else noticed the numerous high profile 'live television' matches that seem to be allocated to female assistant referee, Sian Massey-Ellis, and how she always seems to be on the far touchline where she is seen more than the nearside assistant?

Personally, I think she is exceptionally good but I wouldn't expect to see her more than anyone else!
I see Sian has been given the very first match of the new season - once again on the far touchline where we can all see her. If she doesn't referee a Premier League match soon I'll eat my hat :hi:
