Hahaha they don't make it easy Michael. 2 teams from each group qualify which gives 20 teams. That leaves 4 places so this is where the nations league comes in to play. The 4 winners from each group in the nations league go onto a knockout playoff with the 4 winners given a place at the euros. Scotland can face Serbia, Finland or Norway. Confusing right enough

I take it that means Scotland now have two ways to qualify for the Euros, bonzo.

1: They either finish 1st or second in their qualifying group (group i) … always the best way of course, but as you say it still leaves another 4 places up for grabs.

2: Or, they finish anywhere from 3rd to last in their qualifying group but can still qualify if they win a play-off.

I'm thinking this nations league play-off route must have been brought in to replace the 4 best placed 3rd placed teams in the group qualifying ?

Might have more to say on this as I'm still trying to get my head round some things, including sporting integrity issues. :)

Looking very much like Steve Clarke is the new Scotland manager. I feel for killie as he had really took them to heights they hadn't seen for years. Hopefully he's the man to take us to our first finals in over 20 years.

I thought Steve was going to end up at Celtic... I know nothing.. Come on Scotland. :D

Just remembered his family are settled in Ungland -so he will have more time with them taking the Scotland job.

Is this fait accompli or is Steve just negotiating his Kilmarnock or other terms for next season?

His speech at the end of the game today definitely sounded like a thank you and goodbye. There was stuff leaked to the press on Friday which I have a funny feeling came from Hampden.

What a gift Steve left Kilmarnock with to qualify for Europe ??
I was watching the game on bt sport, First time i have ever wanted Rangers to lose. The sheep will be wanting Celtic to beat Hearts in the cup final next week.

Good luck to Scotland tonight against Cyprus. Eamonn Brophy starts tonight looks a good player from what i have seen in his Kilmarnock performances this season. Maybe a few scouts will be watching him a good display could see him departing Rugby park...
