My New local Library
Take a book - Leave a book - Share a book
Just down the street from us outside the old folks home there is a new library open - seen a few of these outside such places. Must go down and swap my Billy Connolly books and see what I can get in return.
Re: My New local Library
Hugh, can anyone swap books there or is it mainly for the residents who are maybe unable to get to a library or mobile library.
Think it is a great idea for the residents.

I don't see why not, Netta. There doesn't seem to be any conditions other than to leave a replacement. You may have noticed as we did that there is a similar one though much larger in Geelong outside the main entrance to St. John of God Hospital.
Re: My New local Library
Haven’t been to St John of God for at least 18 months, so not sure if it was there then

Re: My New local Library
Hi Brian,
Was actually thinking about swapping one of my William McGonagall's books, but I cannae find them. He was an Irish-born Scottish weaver, poet and actor and He wrote about 200 poems, including "The Tay Bridge Disaster" and "The Famous Tay Whale", which are widely regarded as some of the worst in English literature. So it looks like I'll have to think of something else if I do go for a swap.
Though I must admit I've got used to reading via my kindle.

I don't need a new library, Hughie- Have learned more on the Threetowners forum than anywhere. Thanks again.

No. Thank you, Brian, for participating.
Netta, here's the one outside St. John of God Hospital in Geelong.

Oh, I do remember seeing that.
