The Homesman, what a strange film. It amazes me that very attractive women are chosen to play plain Jaynes. A drunken no good turns down the chance of a lifetime basically he's a crook and a bum and doesn't want to change. One laugh (not that there was much to laugh at in this film) was the money she had set aside for him was useless because the bank that issued it had gone bust. Well worth watching.

Jack Reacher - Tom Cruise at his world saving best.... all action movie with action man himself - car chases, no holds bar fights, and the leading woman keeps her lipstick perfect the whole way through. Would recommend though

Saw "High Crimes" last night. Expected better from Morgan Freeman. A kind of half put together military film.

Good twist at end however.

Reminds me of Peaky Blinders. Really good read. At my second read through. :D

Just watched the first half of Papillion, its brilliant, making the dinner now and looking forward to the remainder later. I probably watched it many years ago but cant remember. It was on the telly last night. :D

Convicted murderer Henri Charriere (Steve McQueen), known as "Papillon" for his butterfly chest tattoo, is transported to French Guiana to serve his sentence in a work camp. Determined to escape, Papillon forms an unlikely relationship with the frail but notorious forger Louis Dega (Dustin Hoffman),… Thanks- wikipedia.

Hidden Figures. A true story about three very intelligent african women who worked for NASA in the 60's, in the days of negro segregation. Being offended and ignored by white workers, they ended up almost running the place!

"The Snowman" is just diabolical. I think another one for DEBRA. Need to struggle through the rest of it later.
