£3.40 Hughie, that's surely a bit on the steep side.
You'd easily get 3 absolute top quality hot Scotch Pies to takeaway from the Kandy Bar in Saltcoats for around that very price.
It's fairly common now to see this kind of massive overcharging at big event's. Is it just sheer greed by the vendor's/stallholder's, or are the rent's being charged by the event organiser's forcing them into it ? Maybe a bit of both, but that still doesn't make it right.
