A video of the first passenger sailing from Ardrossan to use Brodick's new pier. The pier has taken about 2 years to complete but it is finally in operation. The first sailing was the 9.45 from Ardrossan on the 10th March 2018.

First posted on FB. Posted here with the kind permission of Sylvan Buckley. I've added the text, to show how it came about:
A wee while ago I asked on here if anybody had any old photos of Saltcoats during it's busy period, Glasgow, Paisley, Greenock fair etc. during the 60s through 90s for my HNC Photography, documentary class. Thank you to everybody that got back to me. This is still a work in progress, as I hope to carry this on and possibly get some lenticular (holographic) postcards printed up. but anyway, I thought I'd put it up and show you what I'v managed with it so far. and thanks again!

What a lovely tour of Stevenston, and you know what-where's the litter.

Had the pleasure of seeing Murray perform live on a couple of occasions in the late 80's, as he was a nephew of the then 'On Cue' snooker club in Stevenston owner Robert Reid and did some shows in the clubs function suite.
