Old Three Towns Bus Pictures

Well,its been quite a while (again) since I last posted.I've been busy collecting a large number of pictures/slides of buses making their way through the Three Towns over the years which I'll be sharing with you all.The first one is an A1 Service Leyland Titan PD2A ex Northern Counties heading into Saltcoats.Date unknown.

I would have been happy with the image of the bus but there is a lot more in the photo to jog the memory - St. Peter's School; the putting green; the location of the the Lauriston, Ingledene and Kilmeny Hotels; St. Theresa's Convent; and the McFadyen Monument on the Castle Hill, &c. The photographer has even captured the 'old' red phone box opposite the Lauriston Hotel, which was mentioned in this topic from away back: -
