FAM16,

When you first posted, I think I suggested you were starving us of information. Since then you've adopted a policy of drip-feeding  . It also helps sometimes to know what it is you're trying to achieve and why!

Notwithstanding, you're definitely trying hard!

If I was you, not knowing how much you know already; where you live; or your overall objective, I would begin with the name Pennington. Campbells abound but Pennington is not a name I ever heard in the Threetowns when I lived there.

Currently, in the area, there is only one PENNINGTON family listed in the public telephone directory, in Ardrossan:-

The Campbell family on the other hand, on whom you have provided some information, have clearly made public intimations in the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald and these appear in the BDM database - e.g. the Silver Wedding of Edward Campbell and Sarah Ann McLaughlin in the 18/12/1964 edition, which also provides an address in Saltcoats.

Nothing is ever really lost to us as long as we remember it.

Hi Fam16,
I was about to suggest you have a look at those school photos. I wasn't sure if it was the right person.
I was in the same class as Jim from 1956 till we moved to Jack's Road in 1962.
I can't tell you much about him - I only saw him at school. He seemed to be pretty quiet and a bit shy.
Sorry I can't help you.
