Aye Meg, you're right - as always, just like my own SWMBO.

Just while I'm thinking about it, there was another phrase to describe some one's wife, 'Her inside.'
It came from a comedy programme on the TV.
Can't for the life of me remember what programme that was. It was a good few years ago now..

Who is the pedant now?
Memory serves me with "Her Indoors" being the phrase.
It was George Cole, one of our finest character actors.

Right, Chef.
The old grey cells are getting awful tired the last wee while.
BUT, I'm still on the right track. :D

Regarding the Essex lorry deaths- That must have been an awful sight for the emergency services. Can't praise them high enough and condolences to the familys of the deceased.

After watching the News, I just said to Ria, this is going to cause a right old stink.
Locals who were interviewed on television were telling about regularly seeing folk jumping out of lorries and asking for lifts handing over mobile phones to give addresses to be taken to as they did not speak English.
Where the hell were the police. Did they not know anything about this?

I’ve recorded it Brian, ready to watch this week. If you go through the town heading out towards Doonfoot, you go along Racecourse Road - and pass the old racecourse just before you get to the site of the old Seafield hospital. I believe it’s common good land although South Ayrshire Council are trying to make a grab for it to turn it into a golf school - causing a flood of complaints.
