I guess most of you in the UK would have heard the news about the explosion in Kincaidston on Monday night - we are less than half a mile away so heard the bang and the impact blew open our living room door. It took me right back to living in Ardrossan as a child and hearing the bang, windows rattling then everyone running outside, looking towards Stevenston to see if there was the telltale plume of smoke - then the worrying question of who in your street was at work.
They think it was a gas leak - the family had called the gas engineer three days before complaining of smelling gas. How anyone made it out of this pile of rubble alive amazes me. I believe the family are all in comas, and are suffering from major burns but they are still alive.

Re: Gas explosion
It looks as though it has been bombed. I hope the injured make a full recovery and the neighbours who have left homes through no fault of there own are properly looked after.
