Rather than posting a link to such a 'made for clicks' site. Why not just state your own candid opinion of the man? :(

Well said Hughie! He was his own man who spoke his mind and if you didn't like it; " tough ti**ies " - a phrase we knew well here in Oz, Ma Sheila wasn't it?

That was one man's opinion.

A huge amount of folk not just in the UK but also worldwide share that same view of so called 'Royalty' .. Mark Twain just happened to put it out there in a very succinct way.

The man's deid, sorry to hear that, but at 99 he must have had a great innings all mostly paid for by the UK public. We mere peasants are now expected to grieve and mourn his passing as if he was actually one of our own.

Not me I'm afraid, pass the sick bag please.

Kittiwake,

Jim McCreadie is a respected long-term member of Threetowners who has contributed 900 constructive posts in line with the 'family nature' of this site without offending, annoying, or irritating anyone, and unless I'm mistaken, just like I did recently, I think he's dismissing you with the statement, "As you wish". If my memory serves me right, I think I dismissed you with, "So be it, and I move cheerfully on." I haven't looked for a while but I think I've made over 15,000 posts without upsetting anyone. With less than a hundred post you're surpassing yourself. Relax, I'm sure you must have some positive things to say which would enhance the reputation of Threetowners, making existing members feel comfortable when they see your name, and attracting new members with your chat.

In the meantime, don't rush into a hasty 'Saturday Night' reply, I'm moving cheerfully on once again to watch the 'MASTERS' golf, and won't be logging in again until circa ten o'clock tomorrow morning  .

Penny Tray,
Are you starting to lose the plot? Surely no one has the right to 'dismiss' anyone else on here .. and 15,000 posts? .. what exactly does that make you?

I'm guessing the old Codger who sadly passed away might be proud of the arrogant nonsense you're spouting, but it doesn't impress or surprise me one bit that it's coming from an ex Copper, you take care now. :smt039

Kittywake,

I'm back early because play in the 'MASTERS' golf has been suspended because of a threatened lightning storm.

You really must stop posting on a Saturday night

Once again, I move cheerfully on. Good night //silent
